Terms of Use.
Book a chore, we get it done through a vetted partner, you pay what the app showed you. Be reasonable, we'll be reasonable. The legalese below says that in more words.
1 · Who we are
These terms are between you and NoBrainer ("NoBrainer", "we", "us"). They govern your use of the NoBrainer app and website. By creating an account or placing a booking, you agree to them.
NoBrainer runs in Lebanon and in Cyprus. Our registered company name and address are not published here yet. You can reach us at info@nobrainer.bot.
2 · The service
NoBrainer is a marketplace. You book a service in the app, and an independent business we work with, our partner, does the work. We arrange the booking, take or record your payment, keep you posted and stand behind the work; the partner performs it.
We start with laundry in Greater Beirut and pet grooming in Limassol. What you can book, and where, is what the app shows for your address.
The work itself is a service the partner provides to you. Partners are businesses, so consumer law applies to the work they do for you. The partner is named on your booking and on your receipt.
3 · Bookings & slots
You choose the service, a pickup time and, where the service has one, a return time. You can let us pick any partner who serves your address, or choose one yourself. The price is the same whoever does it. A booking is confirmed when the app says so.
Someone, you or an adult you trust, should be at the address and reachable during the times you chose.
For laundry, the partner weighs your laundry when they take it in. If the weight or the items differ from what you booked, the app shows you the new total and why. Nothing changes until you approve it. If you don't approve it, we'll contact you to agree what happens next.
If you set a booking to repeat, we book each visit for you and let you know. You can stop repeating at any time, in Orders.
4 · Prices & payment
Each service has one price in each market, whichever partner does the job. The app shows the total, VAT included, before you confirm, and that is what you pay unless you approve a change (section 3). Your receipt is in Orders.
In Lebanon, prices are in US dollars and you pay the partner in cash when the job is done. Card payment there is coming soon.
In Cyprus, prices are in euros and you pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, through our payment provider, Stripe. Cash isn't accepted. Your card is held when you book and charged when the partner accepts the booking. If you don't finish paying within 30 minutes of booking, or your card is declined, the booking is withdrawn and nothing is charged. If the hold ends before a partner accepts, the booking is withdrawn and the hold is released. NoBrainer collects your payment as the partner's agent.
Part of each price is NoBrainer's commission: 20% of the price before VAT, on each booking made in the app. The rest is the partner's. Partners are paid for completed jobs. In Cyprus, Stripe pays the partner their share after the job is done. In Lebanon, the partner keeps the cash you paid and pays NoBrainer its commission.
If you use a promo code, its conditions are shown in the app when you apply it.
5 · Cancellations
You can cancel a booking in the app until the job starts: for a pickup, until the partner collects. Before you confirm, the app tells you whether a fee applies.
Cancelling ahead of time is free. In Lebanon, a cancellation fee may apply if you cancel close to your pickup time. The app shows the amount before you confirm, and we never charge a fee the app did not show you. A fee is recorded on your booking, and we'll tell you how to pay it. There are no cancellation fees in Cyprus.
You can move a booking to another open time in the app until the job starts. Moving it is free.
If you cancel a card booking before the partner accepts it, the hold is released and nothing is charged. If you cancel after you were charged, we refund your payment to the card you paid with. Your bank decides how long the refund takes to show. If a card refund can't go through, we pay it by bank transfer instead.
If we or the partner cancel your booking, you pay nothing for it, and anything you paid is refunded in full.
If you live in Cyprus, EU consumer law gives you 14 days from booking to withdraw from it without giving a reason. When you book a time inside those 14 days, you are asking for the work to start then, and you agree that once the job is fully done you can no longer withdraw from it. If you withdraw after the work has started but before it is finished, you pay for the part already done. You withdraw by cancelling in the app or, once the app no longer lets you cancel, by writing to info@nobrainer.bot.
6 · If something goes wrong
The partner who does your job is responsible for the work: for doing it with reasonable care and skill, and for your things or your pet while they have them. NoBrainer is responsible for the app, for arranging your booking and handling your payment, and for what we promise in these terms.
If something goes wrong with a job, tell us as soon as you can, at info@nobrainer.bot or through the help options in the app. Give us the booking number and what happened; photos help. We'll look into it with the partner and, where the job fell short, put it right, for example with a full or partial refund. While we look into a complaint about a card booking, the partner's payment for that job waits.
If something of yours is lost or damaged while a partner has it, tell us straight away. We'll take it up with the partner and help you reach a fair settlement.
None of this limits your legal rights as a consumer.
7 · Your account
You need an account to book, and you must be 18 or over. You sign in with a code we text to your phone number, or with Google or Apple. On an iPhone, you can also turn on Face ID sign-in. One phone number holds one account.
Keep your phone and your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for bookings made from your account, unless someone made them because of a failure on our side. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away. Keep your name, addresses and directions up to date so the partner can find you.
Use NoBrainer fairly. Book real services that you mean to keep. Don't give false details; don't harass, threaten or abuse a partner, their crew or our team; don't ask a partner to do anything unsafe or unlawful, or hand over anything illegal or dangerous; and don't misuse the app, our sign-in codes or our systems, copy them in bulk or try to break into them. Ratings and comments should be honest and about the job; we may hide one that is abusive or not about the job.
We may block an account that breaks these terms, or that we reasonably believe is being used for fraud or abuse. If you think we got it wrong, write to us.
You can delete your account at any time: open the app, go to Account and tap Delete my account. If a booking isn't finished, or a payment, a refund, a price change, a dispute or a complaint is still open, the app tells you what's in the way; try again once it's done. Your details go straight away, and your past bookings stay with no name on them. The Delete your account page and the Privacy Policy say what goes and what stays. If you can't open the app, write to info@nobrainer.bot.
8 · The boring-but-binding bits
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where the law does not allow it: for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your rights as a consumer, such as your right to have a service done with reasonable care and skill.
Subject to that, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or of our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, or for business losses: NoBrainer is for personal use. The partner, not NoBrainer, is responsible for the work itself (section 6).
If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer our rights and duties under these terms to a company that takes over NoBrainer; that will not reduce your rights. These terms, the Privacy Policy and what the app shows you when you book are the whole agreement between you and us about using NoBrainer.
9 · Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add a service or a market, or when the law changes. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you before it takes effect. A booking keeps the terms that applied when you made it.
If you don't agree with a change, you can stop using NoBrainer and delete your account. The version on this page is the one that applies.
10 · Governing law
If you book in Cyprus, the law of Cyprus governs these terms, and the courts of Cyprus can hear any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the European Union, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
If you book in Lebanon, the law of Lebanon governs these terms, and the courts of Lebanon can hear any dispute.
Wherever you are, you keep the protection of the consumer law of the country where you live that cannot be set aside by agreement. Before going to court, please write to us: most things are sorted out that way.
11 · Contact
